Writers write. While this is true, sometimes we write so much in so many places that some writing gets neglected. Such is the case with this blog. It isn’t that I’ve been ignoring it so much as I’ve been extremely busy writing more books.
For instance, I realized the other day I am publishing a new books every 9 months. Someone jokingly referred to them as “your babies”. In addition I have been mentoring several groups for aspiring authors and doing book signings and all of the things that usually fall under the category of promotion and marketing.
However, I realized when I recently looked at this website, that I have been neglectful and the site needed a facelift and updating. Although I have been actively interacting with fans of the books in person and on social media, this website, that should be the hub of communications with fans has been woefully neglected.
That being said, I’m re-organizing a lot of things regarding my author journey. I am so glad to then be able to say that I won’t be neglecting this, or my email subscribers any more. Thank you, one and all for your patience.
So why am I even posting about this? Because for each of us, life happens. You may be feeling like I was when I realized I had neglected the site and the email subscribers. You may feel disappointed with yourself. You may feel like, “Why bother? I’ve already messed up too badly and there is no recovering from this.” I’m here to tell you, that isn’t so. Fresh starts, “do-overs”, reboots, whatever you want to call it, is not only possible, but part of moving forward from mediocrity to success.
